Other things to think about before adopting or purchasing a pet are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Finances<\/li><li>Space &amp; environment<\/li><li>Travel<\/li><li>Health &amp; mobility<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Finances<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Pets can be expensive. Food, toys, litter and bedding, pest preventive medicines, emergency veterinary visits, kennel costs while you\u2019re away, and<a href=\"https:\/\/www.englishtownvet.com\/services\/wellness-care.html\"> regular wellness checkups<\/a> can put a strain on a limited budget. If you\u2019re looking for a companion pet that doesn\u2019t cost a lot to care for, consider these options:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Birds\u2014Yes, you have to change their cage papers and keep them occupied with toys, but many little birds can brighten your day and can be quite lovable.<\/li><li>Cats\u2014Cats are pretty good at taking care of themselves.
